Kristen Anne Bell was born July 18 in 1980. The actress is an American actor and singer. Beginning her acting career by acting in stage productions while studying at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut in the role of Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and was in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. She later appeared in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and earned praise for her performance in the drama TV film Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was as the lead character on the teen noir drama show Veronica Mars (2004-2007), receiving praise from the critics as well as a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance. In the 2014 film she reprised her role as the title character and in the reboot of the series in 2019, she reprised her role. In her time in Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) as an incarnation of the character she performed in the New York musical of the similar name.Bell starred as Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 to the year 2008. Bell played the role of the narrator in the title role for the popular teen drama Gossip Girl. The 2021 sequel will feature her reprising this role. Bell was also the voice as Jeannie van de Hooven, the leading female character in the comedy series House of Lies. She starred in the lead role in the role of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy show The Good Place, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her role.
