Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American singer, songwriter, and TV personality who emerged as a pop rock star following her win in the TV talent competition American Idol in 2002. Clarkson was raised within Burleson Texas (a town located just outside in Fort Worth), where her vocal talents were first observed by her 7th grade choir teacher. After high school graduation, Clarkson was sent for a visit to Los Angeles to try to be a part of the showbiz. She was picked as a participant for the Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol singing competition, giving viewers the chance to choose their favorite performance. Clarkson's captivating voice, charisma and humor won over viewers. Clarkson won $1 million, and an agreement recording for RCA to be her reward.
