Ariel Tweto, a well-known as a pilot and TV host in her profession, is among the most well-known personalities of South Africa. Flying Alaska's 2011-2012 season follows Ariel as she trains in order to be a professional pilot. Ariel eventually gets her pilot's license in the month of April of this year. Then she takes over the operation of the Flying Alaska family's business after the retirement from her father. Alaskans worry about Alaska's high teenager suicide rate that is seven times that of the entire country. Ariel has responded by co-founding Popping Bubbles. She visits the youth and schools to talk to young people about ways they can lead their lives and pursue their dreams, rather than fall into depression.
